Navigating the challenges of Capital Equipment and Personnel Work Hazards
In today’s challenging healthcare environment, medical device companies must address the financial impact on healthcare facilities. Does the medical device provide additional value to the organization beyond the intended medical technology?
Capital Medical equipment depreciation and loss in operative rooms and ICU can significantly strain a facility’s budget.
As a medical device company, we develop ergonomic solutions to consolidate devices, streamline operations, and eliminate equipment and personnel hazards. With our innovative designs and RTLS asset management capabilities, we minimize the financial burden on healthcare facilities.
We striver for:
1. Reduce Equipment Hazards through Ergonomic Medical Devices.
2.Decrease potential Risk and Liability.
3. Maintain Reputation and Patient Confidence.
4. Address Capital Equipment Depreciation by Prolonging Equipment Lifespan.
5. Stream Budgeting and Resource Allocation
Decades of IV Pole Design Stagnation
For decades, the IV poles have supported the functions of hanging IV fluids, blood products, holding various equipment such as surgical and ICU IV pumps, and serve as a sterile barrier with the surgical drapes attached to them.
These traditional IV stands for medical use have significant limitations and lack additional value for perioperative workflow, personnel safety, protecting capital equipment and inventory management.
Introducing The S-Tower, the smart IV pole:
The definition of Ergonomics, Versatility and Dependability
A radical, innovative platform that eliminates the limitations of the obsolete IV pole, by offering additional utility functions for the surgical, anesthesia, and ICU environment, while protecting personnel and valuable medical equipment.
The new smart IV pole is built as a modular structure allowing hospitals and users to customize the number of options needed for their workspace and workflow.
The S-TOWER, is the only smart IV pole in the market that offers Real Time Location System (RTLS) for asset management, tracking not only the platform but all other devices mounted on them.
S-TOWER: Streamline. Secure. Succeed.
The S-Tower serves as an integrated structure to support and secure multiple medical equipment used by the anesthesia and ICU staff when performing their functions. It improves operating room set-up and layout, workflow and overall safety for medical personnel and patients.
All in one platform, the tower improves clinical compliance by having all the needed equipment readily available in a unit, to deliver above-the-standard patient care with superb ergonomics for use. It improves staff safety by eliminating hazards such as the Spaghetti syndrome from the myriad power cables on the floor or floating.
The S-Tower offers multiple unique innovative features such as uninterrupted power supply (UPS) to protect capital equipment from sudden outages and Real Time Location System sensor for hospital medical equipment inventory management. Each of these features translates into material benefits with a tremendous value proposition to the hospital systems.
Decreases footprint by 25%, prevents equipment collision, improves storage, easier transport.
Prevents sudden stops, entanglements, and running over cables. Provides more stability with full floor contact when locked, prevents tipping onto patients or valuable equipment.
Decreases staff hazards from the spaghetti syndrome by self-recoiling the power cords above and below when not in use.
Provides superb ergonomics, stability, and safety by locking all four wheels simultaneously, preventing any movement.

Why use the S-Tower
The S-Tower is one tower to support and secure needed medical equipments used in the operating suites and ICU rooms. With many features, each delivers compounding benefits that provide great value for hospitals, users, and patients through the continuum of care.
Who can benefit from the S-Tower
Important safety information
The S-Tower was designed by seasoned anesthesiologists and intensivists attending high-acuity cases to respond to patient, staff, and hospital needs. Teaming up with industrial and mechatronics engineers, the S-Tower was designed to maximize ergonomics, workflow and throughput, and cost savings, becoming the ideal mobile platform for any tertiary and quaternary hospitals.
It can be used in simple cases with the basic-naked profile loaded with the air-blower and fluid-warmer, to the most complex of surgical cases offering all the comprehensive features to support patient care, the practitioners’ needs, and hospital requirements. Regardless of the configuration, the S-Tower is the solution for inventory control and decreased consumption of fixed capital in overburdened medical rooms.
The modular pieces of the S-Tower were designed and tested for use in the OR and ICU. Testing included stability of each component, strength, and performance. Do not use the tower or any accessories if damaged or defective.
DO NOT install non-medical equipment or larger medical devices not designed to be held by an IV pole. Do not exceed maximal weight capacity of 540 lbs. The S-Tower is made from medically graded components with the corresponding certifications. Autoclave is not necessary. It can be sprayed and wiped with any bactericidal, tuberculocidal, and virucidal containing chlorides and alcohol. Avoid the use of any caustic substance to clean the product.
The S-Tower has three sections, each with multiple components. All components are well known to the medical environment and are self-explanatory.
All six arms in the middle section can pivot vertically to an idle and hidden position for storage, and when in use they can move forward up to 60 degrees to improve ergonomics, and decrease lateral wingspan further.
The height of the top hooks is adjusted by the central pole handle located at the center on the tower, and locked in position by rotating the handle clockwise. The top electrical power cable can be pulled and adjusted to the needed length and contains a self-recoiling mechanism.
